The Liberty Mead Metropolitan District is a quasi-municipal corporation and political subdivision of the State of Colorado organized and operating pursuant to Article 1 of Title 32 of the Colorado Revised Statutes.

The District is served by a five-member Board of Directors, who are elected at large to four-year staggered terms. The District is not a homeowners’ association, although it is responsible for covenant enforcement and design review services. Board member responsibilities include representing the property owners and residents of the District by attending regular and special Board meetings, setting policy, and directing District consultants and contractors in a number of areas including operation and maintenance of landscaping and parks.
